In order to learn the advanced management experience of nature reserves and promote the common development of sister geoparks, on May 15-17, a delegation from Funiushan UNESCO Global Geopark went to Dunhuang UNESCO Global Geopark for study and exchange.
At the seminar, the two sides had an in-depth exchange on management institutions, tourism promotion, mid-evaluation and inspection and nature reserve construction, and signed a sister geopark agreement, in which both sides will learn from each other and strengthen communication in multiple fields such as geopark management, conservation, study and tourism to promote effective protection and sustainable development of geological relic resources.
The delegation from Funiushan UNESCO Global Geopark visited the geosites of Dunhuang UNESCO Global Geopark, such as Yardang Landform, Mingsha Mountain and Moon Crescent Spring, and felt the strong frontier style and shocking humanistic and natural landscape, and discussed and exchanged more deeply about the establishment of relic point signage, geological relic protection and cultural and creative products.
The two sides signed a sister park agreement, indicating that they will have in-depth exchanges in brand building of the UNESCO Global Geopark, promotion of science popularization and institutional management, and help the UNESCO Global Geopark achieve high-quality sustainable development in high-level protection.
