Crafts--Dunhuang Batik

Since the 1990s, Dunhuang has introduced the batik process from the Yunnan-Guizhou region to process the Mogao Caves' algal wells, scrolling grass patterns and images of Buddha, Bodhisattva, flying sky, and Kabuki into clothing, wall hangings, curtains and towels, and letter inserts, giving new life to the traditional craft of batik. Batik's unique ice crack texture is very suitable for the expression of the mural paintings, the flavor of the erosion, Dunhuang batik was introduced, that is, welcomed by Chinese and foreign guests. The batik products independently designed and processed by Dunhuang Painting and Calligraphy Institute are simple and bright, with soft color tones, and are therefore the most popular.
