Yangguan Museum

Yangguan Museum has abundant cultural relics and a novel exhibition style, which can systematically reflect the prosperity and changes of Dunhuang and Yangguan Pass during the Han and Tang dynasties. The museum has a collection of nearly 4000 cultural relics, including 21 first-grade ones, 142 second-grade ones, and 487 third-grade ones. The categories include stoneware, jadeware, pottery, gold and silverware, bronzeware, ironware, woodware, and woolen, hemp, and silk fabrics. The themes involve production, life, military affairs, culture, religion, and other aspects, with high historical value and academic value. The Yangguan Museum is an important hub for the academic research and exchange of Silk Road culture, Dunhuang culture, Two-pass Great Wall culture, and ethnic group culture in frontier regions. It integrates museum exhibitions, cultural heritage preservation, academic research, and tourism services into one comprehensive facility.
