In order to comprehensively study and implement the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, deepen Dunhuang culture into scenic spots, promote cultural self-confidence and self-improvement, enhance the soft power of the geopark, and boost the recovery of the cultural tourism industry, recently, Dunhuang UNESCO Global Geopark carried out a three-day winter and spring training series.
It is understood that the training is a combination of online and offline, especially invited Dr. Niu Qinghe, assistant researcher of the Northwest Institute of Ecological and Environmental Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Yan Defei, director of the Gansu Geological Association, School of Resources and Environment of Lanzhou University, Director Sun Hong of the Party History, Literature and Learning Committee of the Dunhuang CPPCC, and Section Chief Hyper Chunmei of the Resource Protection Section of Adiministration of Dunhuang UGGp, covering Dunhuang Yardang landform research progress, introduction of feathery dunes in Kumutag Desert, basic knowledge of earth geology as well as Dunhuang culture, personal competence and enhancement, and many other aspects. The deputy director and cadres of Dunhuang Yardang Service Center also took to the podium to explain how to inherit the spirit of Yardang and tell the Yardang story through what they have seen, thought and felt. At the end of the indoor training, all the interpreters again deep into the geopark on the Dunhuang UNESCO Global Geopark Museum, the geopark study point interpretation for practical training.
Through this training, not only deepen the cooperation between the geopark and research institutions, but also develop the vision of practitioners, deepen the geo-knowledge reserve, improve the professionalism of practitioners, and lay the foundation for polishing the geopark brand. Next the geopark will continue to do a good job of professional training of the interpretive team, with high morale, firm confidence, and a steady fight to meet the full recovery of the cultural tourism industry!
